More silverware for Jordan at Donington Park

British GT Championship competitor Jordan Collard returned to the podium at Donington Park Grand Prix circuit (22-23 June).

With teammate Lewis Proctor in their McLaren 570S they lifted third-place trophies to rise to P3 in the GT4 Drivers' standings and keep Tolman Motorsport in third in the team's points.

During Saturday's two-hour free practice session the due concentrated on race preparations rather than chasing headline lap times. This approach ensured a good set up and balance in the car that resulted in them posting competitive times against a tightly packed GT4 pack.

Starting from seventh on the grid for Sunday's race, Proctor kicked off the duo's charge, making up places during a controlled drive in the first hour. Jordan capitalised on his team-mate's good work, emerging from the pit window in fourth, and immediately lapping in the 1m36s. An off from the second placed BMW elevated them to third place where they finished the race.

Jordan explains: "You have to take every result when they come. We definitely have some work to do, so Lewis and I and everyone at Tolman Motorsport and McLaren will put our heads together to find a bit more raw pace. The McLaren 570S GT4 is clearly very reliable and, because Lewis and I looked after the car well we were there to pick up places as others retired. This podium gives us a big boost in the championship and it's what we needed after Silverstone, but hopefully we can sort out our qualifying performances and start further up the order at Spa so we're in a position to fight for the top step."
