HOOK race Jordan Collard produced a super storming race at Knockhill, to record his best finish of the season in the Ginetta Junior Championships, as he just missed out on a podium finish coming in fourth.
The teenage driver had started his final outing at the Scottish track in 12th place and by lap seven was had moved into seventh place.
On the final lap he was up to sixth, but passed the two cars in front of him coming off the final bend to clinch fourth place right on the line.
In race one of the weekend, Collard got himself up into the top 10, before he was hit at the chicane by Harry Dyson, which forced him down the order, but he fought back to finish ninth.
A delighted father Rob Collard
, who was racing in the British touring car Championship at the same venue, said: “It was great to see Jordan do so well and to pass the championship leader on the last bend was great. It would be nice for him to get on the podium next time.”
